You’ll be asked to rank the residential colleges in preference order, so be sure to mark Trinity Residential College as number one! Once we’ve received your application, we’ll review it and will contact you to arrange an online interview.

Demand for student accommodation in Perth is currently very strong resulting in lengthy waitlists each semester.
To increase your chances of successfully being awarded a place on College Row, we recommend applying a minimum of six-months prior to when you intend to join us. For example, if you intend to join us in February we recommend you apply by the July before.
Don’t forget, you can secure your place at Trinity Residential College before you apply to your chosen uni.

International students
Starting from July 2024, Trinity Residential College will accept a limited number of international students who are under the age of 18 at the commencement of their accommodation contract. To be eligible for one of these rooms the applicant must turn 18 in their first semester at the College. All rooms are subject to availability and assessed on a case-by-case basis.
We understand how frustrating uncertainty is. That is why we aim to process our applications as quickly as possible. In general, you should receive the outcome of your application within 4 to 6 weeks.
This timeframe does depend on a range of external factors such as: interview availability and date of application receipt (which is determined by where we are in your preferences!).
Yes, you can choose to live at Trinity Residential College for a single semester only, but only in certain circumstances. For example, if you’re an Exchange or Study Abroad student who is only in Perth for six-months.
If you apply for a semester, but are not eligible for this period, we may go ahead and convert your application to one for the Academic Year.
We get a lot of questions about the interview process. Don’t worry, it’s nothing too formal! Just a quick chat with our Head of College or Deputy Head of College so we can get to know you. It also provides you with an opportunity to ask some further questions about living at our College or what it’s like to study at university.
After the interview, which will take place online via Microsoft Teams, you’ll receive an outcome notification via email. If you are successful a formal Accommodation Offer will be sent to you.
If you are unsuccessful in your interview your application will be passed onto your next College Row preference.
To accept your Accommodation Offer you’ll need to pay the non-refundable Confirmation Fee. You’ll make payment, as well as accepting the terms associated with your offer, on our Resident Portal.
Once you’ve successfully completed the necessary steps to accept the offer we’ll hold your room until a specific deadline. We will then contact you with your next steps which will include accepting your Accommodation Contract and making payment of any remaining upfront fees.
When you receive your Accommodation Contract it will include a Fee Schedule which outlines how much you owe and when payments are due.
We will ask you to indicate how you’d like to pay your fees when completing your Accommodation Contract. Options include direct debit, bank transfer, credit card and B-Pay. You can choose to pay monthly, quarterly or upfront via a one-off payment
We understand that plans change. You might have decided to take some time away from your studies to travel. Or, you may not have secured a place at your chosen university and need some time to re-assess.
Simply contact our Admissions Team and we will work with you to defer your booking. If that isn’t suitable, we will then chat to you about our cancellation policy (outlined in your Accommodation Contract).
If you did not receive an academic offer from a Perth-based institution, you can cancel your booking penalty free, as enrolment in tertiary education is a condition of your Accommodation Offer.
Should you change your mind and want to live elsewhere, or have received an offer from another Perth uni, your offer remains valid and you are required to contact us to discuss your cancellation options. If your cancellation request is approved you may be required to pay an additional six-week penalty.
You’ll get your security deposit back when you move out of the College once you’ve finished your time with us. We’ll complete a final room inspection and any damages will automatically be deducted from the $500.00 AUD bond.
Security deposits are refunded to Australian Bank Accounts approximately 14 business days after the completion of your final contract. You can request a refund to an international bank account (subject to availability) however bank exchange fees will apply.
